360 Degree Management Review

We support the management team of our clients with facilitated self-assessments of selected competencies and behaviours. The assessment is based on the Ashridge Inventory of Management Skills (AIMS), a tried and tested suite of psychometric instruments*.

A typical set of competencies and behaviours may include:

Business AwarenessCommunication SkillsDecision Making

Information TechnologyManaging othersManaging Change and Uncertainty
Marketing AwarenessPerformance ManagementPersonal Effectiveness
Political SensitivityProblem SolvingProcess Management

Specifically tailored instruments are available for literally all managerial challenges and leadership situations.

The concept of a 360 degree review encompasses a self-assessment, which is complemented by multiple feedbacks from trusted individuals associated with the participant.

Typically the following groups are involved:

  • The individual
  • Two or more line managers
  • Three or more peers
  • Three or more direct reports

The minimum number of feedback providers ensures a good representation whilst maintaining the anonymity of all individuals involved.

The assessment is designed to enable participants to identify their strengths and development needs and help them to concentrate on their future development. It also enables the management team as a whole to make informed decisions about individual and collective development plans, and a structured succession planning process.

We understand that a 360 degree management review process is a sensitive matter for the organisation. We are happy to meet with our clients to discuss the best approach, on a strictly confidential and no-obligation basis.

* Further psychometric instruments are available, where these are more appropriate than AIMS in a given context.
